Skins recap Episode 3.06: “Naomi” (aka Lesbian cuteness and sexy times)

When she gets home her mom is really nice to her and gives her a speech, saying “The people that make you happy are never the ones that you expect. So when you find someone, you’ve got to cherish it.” Very true. Naomi is convinced too and decides to go round Emily’s.

Emily says through the door that she’s not opening it, because her face is all puffy from crying. Naomi responds she doesn’t care and sits down on the front steps of the house, while Emily sits down on her side of the front door.

Naomi:  I do want someone, need someone. You were right.

Emily:  And?

Naomi:  And…when I’m with you, I feel like I’m a better person. I feel happier, less alone. Less lonely.

Then Emily reaches her hand through the cat flap and takes Naomi’s hand and it’s the cutest and silliest thing ever. And they just sit like that, holding hands through the cat flap, crying but happy, sort of.

Next on Skins: Next week it’s all about teenage boys again, but let’s hope they’ll throw us a few cute lesbian crumbs as well.

Still not convinced you should be watching this show? Watch a 3 minute summary of the Emily/Naomi storyline here. I bet it will change your mind.

"After
they are done swimming they make a campfire, open a bottle of booze and
light a joint. Ah, life as a British teenager sure is sweet."

i wish....!
I think anyone who tried to jump in lake near bristol at that time of year would die!

I'll remember that for my next recap.

An entire school got trashed by the students without anyone stopping them (I left that part out of the recap) and you girls wonder how realistic the skinny dipping was? ;-)

Le sigh! I watched it on sunday after stumbling across it on After Ellen's BLWE and after two weeks of 24/7 working and feeling like a f*** adult and it vaulted me right back to puberty. Almost as intense as "Fucking Amal"/"Show me love". And apart from the riot a rather realistic portrait of growing-up.

I'm quite curious how they develop the storyline. Do they make Naomily a happy couple? Or is Naomi indeed gay (or bi) but nonetheless not really in love with Emily? That would be a twist I haven't yet seen on TV.

Enjoying making out with someone and not feeling lonely with her/him is not necessarily enough and Naomi seems hesitant at the end  ... I'm really curious how they solve the cat flap scene.

I watched all the Emily/Naomi scenes and found that I liked the feel of the show and so watched everything. Have to say, its a nice show overall, Emily and Noami just make it better then nice.

They are so cute and so appealing. If only they had a show just about them 2, like 'South of Nowhere', that would be a winner.

I just saw all the Emily/Naomi-parts on youtube. I think it's a really, really cute story. A little sad too, though. But eh, that's teenage love for you.

(I thought Naomily istantly too. d: )
