[The original video-interview we linked to was changed one day after it was published. The interview you can watch now has nothing to do with the previous one anymore but implies instead a flirty atmposphere between the actors that isn't true. We asked RTL-Online for clarification but didn't receive a statement yet.]
Ulrike Folkerts has competition! Or better, she got what she asked for. Wait, that still sounds so negative…
Ok, let’s start again.
Ulrike Röseberg, an actress who currently plays Annette Bergmann in the German RTL-soap “Alles was zählt” (Anything that counts), made herself very clear in a video-interview together with her co-star Andre Dietz, who plays Ingo Zadek. “I am more into women” is her answer to the question whether she would fall for the character of Ingo in real life or not.

Urike Röseberg
The interviewer is horrible and you can hear that without knowing any German. Any association to this lady are totally welcome!

Anyway, at least the actors had fun and joked a lot about how they are attracted to the same women and that he is so "homophobic". It’s really great to watch and listen, especially since Röseberg is wonderful unimpressed by any insecureness on the other side of the microphone. She follows perfectly the “new coming out style” with putting no label on herself, being competely open but still reserved about her private life.
I never heard about her before and…well, the series (Attention! Personal opinion ahead!) is absolutely crap, but the person Ulrike Röseberg seems to be very funny, lighthearted and smart.

She was seen before in main theatres like the Bregenzer Landestheater or the very sophisticated Salzburger Landestheater and has with the role of Annette Bergmann her second television appearance, after a short performance in "Streit um Drei". Hopefully not the last one….we keep you posted!
To learn more about Ulrike Röseberg visit her official website and read this older article (German), in which she talks about her struggle to come out to her grandmother, who by the way reacted just great!

Don't you wonder that this has gotten absolutely no press coverage? Or is this because the interviewer apparently didn't listen to the actors? I had this impression, that she had a list of questions to go through, she never asked one of them to clarify what they'd just said.
Anyway, hopefully we'll be seeing more of her, in a decent program ;)

I think it's great that this didn't get any media coverage. Shows how far we've come. Think about it: What would have been the news? There's this girl and she's a lesbian - how shocking! ?
I had never heard about the actress or the show (thankfully, from what I got from the interview). Nobody would have bothered if she had just humoured the interviewer and admitted a crush on her co-star or whatever a straight girl might have said in a siutation like that. So why should anybody bother if she says she's more into girls. It's not even a Coming Out, it's just being out. So if/when she makes it to big stardom, she'll still be able to talk for herself then, to keep her sexuality a non-issue.
Of course that makes her a great example for all of us; and I think it's great the fans of the show will just have to deal with it. But why should the general public care?
BTW: Her grandma sounds just so cool in that article. Now I want embroidered handkerchiefs, too.
sooo, i watched the interview despite your warnings about the interviewer (you're absolutely right, she's horrible!), but i couldn't find the stuff you mentioned. one thing i did notice though is that there seems to be sth edited out in the middle part of the video (around 2:20min).... wtf?!
You are right! They re-edited the complete video! Now it sounds like the actors are totally flirty and actually a little bit crushed on each other :O
I'm gonna ask RTL what happened to the original. But you can still read the article, which makes also clear that she came out. Thanks for pointing out the video-thing.
Jeez, worse than a stupid interviewer is an edited interview. Damn, I would've liked to see that. But anyway, Ulrike seems cool. Thanks for the article!
The impression this new cut gives is so clearly what the interviewer was aiming for. Now I only wonder how the first version ever made it online.
I can't believe they edited out all the gay stuff...WTF?
- - - - - - - - - -
-Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
Who doesn't have a blog these days?
First they edit it out of this video. Then I see, that they edited threads on the official AWZ Forum! Okay, I get it. A gay actress can't be convincing in a straight role. But hey, you've got a gay role, just let it be played by a straight actress. This hypocrisy is so annoying. I reallyfeel betrayed by the people responsible. Especially many, many young people know and like her. It would have been a big step for our visibility.
I asked RTL-Online and Mrs.Rösebgerg for clarification. Let's see, maybe it was just an mistake :p
read the comments before watching, but i can´t believe it - they really cut that part out?????!!!!!
what a shame...
i never saw the show, but i like her, nice laugh
Meh. ;)
