It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Video of the Week. This time we bring you a music video from Norway.

Josefin Winther is a Norwegian queer rock artist who has been in the music industry for a few years now, although she already wrote her first song at the age of thirteen. Trend is the second single from her forthcoming album, Raising Armies, which is scheduled for release on February 14.

The video tells the story of a boy who’s trying to find his way in various social groups and settings, but he never seems to feel comfortable enough to stay. His journey is accompanied by the song’s lyrics about listening to your ‘own tune’ instead of trying to follow a trend. The song seems to fall into the soft rock category, and although that’s usually not my kind of music, Winther has a very pleasant and warm voice to listen to. I’ll certainly be checking out some more of her songs.

So, how do you like this week’s pick? Is Josefin Winther an artist you’d like to hear more from? Let us know in the comments!
