Amar en Tiempos Revueltos - season 5, recap 12

At Teresa’s store, she, Alfonso and Carmen are having a small family get together saying goodbye to Alfonso, as he’s off to yet another fight. After he’s left, Teresa wants to continue her talk with Carmen about Ana, but Carmen shrugs it off and goes away.

There’s another small tidbit with the Doc giving all his life’s savings up to Rosa and she telling him she’ll get engaged to him. So, like, if I throw around a little money I can become engaged too? Right, that’s me single for the foreseeable future.

Alfonso is asking the doctor for some pain medication again because his side is hurting, but you can clearly see he’s gunning for another shot. The Doc gives him another prescription (enabler!) and Alfonso darts off.

Back at the office, Ana receives some news about her mother and father, who were lost at sea a while back. The investigator reveals that it has been confirmed it was a maritime accident. A fishing boat found several personal objects from them in its net.

She immediately books a flight to Italy to find out more, leaving Alfonso in a right state as it means that Ana will most likely not be home in time for his next fight. Ana promises she will be, but Alfonso highly doubts this.

At the García household, Teresa tells her husband that Adela, the woman she has been taking etiquette lessons from, has offered to continue her lessons.

Back at the club, Alfonso is being wooed by Rosa’s friend about him just knocking out his opponent and to not worry about bought judges.

At home, Ana reminisces about her parents and how much she misses them.

At the pub, Alfonso is given a worthy cheering up for his next fight by friends and family as Ana is getting drunk off her ass and visits Héctor. She starts to talk about how she is unloved and no one likes her anymore. Héctor tries to tell her that she’s just having a ‘rough’ patch, but Ana isn’t impressed. He tries to convince her to go to Alfonso’s party, but she thinks the exact opposite and comes on to Héctor and tries to kiss him. Still drunk off her ass, Héctor knows better and rebuffs her advances.

After sobering up and meeting up with Alfonso again, she drops the bomb that she is pregnant.

Next time:
Ana is off to Italy while Teresa still holds a grudge towards her. Is it with good reason or is she imagining things?
