Television

France
Although I’m not sure what an optician has to do with kissing, a new French optician ad is showing a lot of kissing couples, including lesbians.

France/Germany

Honoring the 25th anniversary of the Teddy Awards, bilingual TV channel ARTE will show several 'pink' movies in February. Although mostly aimed at the gay male viewer, an exception is lesbian treasure Aimée & Jaguar.

Germany

TV host Dunja Hayali is participating in the second season of Der V.I.P. Hundeprofi (The VIP Dog Professional) on VOX, in which she seems to be the only dog owner who didn't call the ‘Hundeprofi’ for problems with her Golden lady Emma, but to learn her some tricks. The show is aired on Saturday evenings at 19:15.

The Netherlands

Spain
After months of unexplained absence, Hospital Central is back on Spanish TV. Esther and Maca haven’t had much screen time yet and we’re not sure if they’ll still get any, since they’re both leaving the show. Of course we’ll keep you updated about any relevant happenings.

Although we were hopeful about the new season of Skins because of the Franky character, is has been revealed that there will be no lesBians on this season of the series. In happier Skins news, a book is being written about Naomily, and you can read an interview with its author on AfterEllen.

The BBC are celebrating the power of the British novel this year. Jeanette Winterson and Sue Perkins will be among the guests on the new TV show My Life In Books. The show’s title is pretty self-explanatory, as the show lets the guests share their life in books, discussing the books they love and why. Perkins will also be doing a Culture Show special, in which she investigates crime and experiences new romance in her journey to discover the essential ingredients of a bestseller.
