Verbotene Liebe recap - December 22 through January 6

Oh ladies, ladies, today I’m going to break your hearts. I will be adding a third speed to the girls’ relationship: screeching halt.

This will be the last of our Verbotene Liebe recaps… because there is nothing more to recap. Take the journey with me ladies, it’s a fond farewell.

December 22 to December 30
Miriam is still taking her test. Mr Brandner is lost, so Miriam lets him cheat off of her. Sweet girl! Mr Brandner is grateful and thanks Miriam somewhat clumsily back at No Limits because they all passed their test!

Rebecca is decorating the Christmas tree with her dad and reminiscing about the past. Rebecca’s dad is getting married, by the way, tomorrow in Switzerland. Rebecca wants them to hold the ceremony at home but as his future wife demands it, Ludwig will hear no more of getting married at home. Then, after some careful prodding by Rebecca and her sister, everyone does agree to a home wedding! The deal is sealed with a kiss to which the kids swiftly turn away from. A woman named Maria seems jealous and very infatuated with the groom-to-be. Dun dun dun!

We get a cute little scene where Miriam and Rebecca greet each other like giggling schoolgirls in love and then it’s wedding time. Unfortunately the bride and groom are nowhere to be seen, neither are Sebastian and Lydia. Rebecca and Tristan go on the hunt for dad and spot a police car. It takes them a second to realize why they are here; the east wing of the castle is on fire.

Before everyone gets worried; no one got hurt! Maria kidnapped the happy couple at gunpoint and started a fire in order to expedite the couple’s death. Like something from Resident Evil, Maria wakes up on the gurney behind the survivors. Three seconds later she is gone. Dun dun DUN!
