And in other tennis news: Amélie Mauresmo has been named as joint director of the WTA Paris Open Tournament, which will be held from February 5-13. She’s also in charge of an accompanying charity event that’ll be held on the 7th.

Out soccer goalkeeper Ursula Holl talked about being married to her wife, Carina, in an interview.
The Netherlands
Speed skater Ireen Wüst won silver in the European Speed Skating Championship Allround, just like last year. She also talked about what it was like for her after winning gold at the Winter Olympics last year. She said she had a burnout two to three weeks after winning, because of all the pressure, emotions and obligations. She has chosen to have a more relaxed approach for skating this season.

Vienna’s 14th Rainbow Ball (Wiener Regenbogenball) that will take place on February 12, is looking for volunteers. Volunteers get offered free entrance to the ball as well as a rainbow brunch.

Do you like to go on winter sports holidays and do you like those holidays to be very, very gay? Then check out the European Gay Ski Week that’s taking place from March 26 - April 2. Don’t let all the pictures of (half-naked) men misguide you, women are welcome too.

If you’re a soccer fan that’s looking for an excuse to visit Germany this summer: the Women’s World Cup will be held from June 26 – July 17.
