This week eurOut features as Website of the Week that of German lesbian entertainment website Kweens.

Kweens is a lesbian entertainment website in German, which was created in 2008. The aim of Kweens, is according to their site:

To make pop culture reporting more lesbian and more feminist.

What kind of things can you find on their website? Well, they report on things like the latest movies (Angelina Jolie's latest movie The Tourist), music videos (Die Raveonettes with I Wanna Be Adored), and events (Winter Pride in Hamburg).

They also have features like 'Lovely Saturday', which features lovely and hot ladies, and they also write about more serious stuff like articles on gender and sexuality, gay marriage and insemination.

Most of their content is queer, but they also make room for stuff we lesBians like or write about other issues in the media that enrage them. Their tagline is 'Lesbian ranting – Popcultur auf Lesbisch' ('Pop culture the lesbian way') for a reason.

What do you think of Kweens? Were you familiar with them/will you be visiting? Do you wish more lesbian websites would write in other languages besides English? Let us know in the comments.

didn't know about kweens - so thanks for spreading the information.

as for the discussion question at the end: I would very much appreciate sites focusing on woman-to-woman topics in other languages!!! But I am guessing the audience would be too small to really keep it running successfully?! idk. that is the "problem" Europe: too many languages & too many cultures. don't get me wrong: I love this kind of diversity but it is very limiting at the same time. (not only Europe of course...this works on a global scale...)
