Last week was just full of drama: Jay getting the intern high on drugs at work and having to be sneaked out the office before anyone saw; Cat and Sam having a blow-out argument followed by make-up office sex; Tess finding out Lou is with Tom (aka Mr Potato Head) and she cried all the way to Ed’s arms in her undies after he KO’s Mr Potato Head, then apologises for it; Frankie announces she’s staying in Glasgow and decides to get a place with Tess... Oh, and Frankie’s meant to be dead! So let’s find out what’s in store this week.

Tess and Frankie are loading up the taxi to move into their new apartment. Frankie has all of 2 bags and a case for her camera. Tess on the other hand, has this:

As well as a list of things she’s forgotten, so Frankie goes back into Cat’s to collect a book, jumper, mascara and wash bag. Clearly the wash bag is in the bathroom, and obviously Frankie walks straight in... and finds a very naked Sam just out the shower.

Frankie apologises and shuts the door behind her, after having a stand-off blinking contest with Cat’s new girlfriend.

Frankie lingers at the door when she notices Cat in the next room getting dressed. When Cat sees her, she’s mad at first, but then admits she hates them fighting all the time and they fall into an easy banter about the good old days, then Frankie leaves.

On arriving at the new apartment, Frankie and Tess are stunned by the outside:

Classy place, neon glow sticks on the building walls, may as well be arranged in a giant rainbow or spell out: “Here by live the gays!” Not put off by the dodgy decor of the exterior, they venture inside, and are stunned in a far better way: the place is, in a word, GIGANTIC!

On the other end of the happy scale, Cat has been pulled into the office of her homophobic boss. He has heard about the intern’s actions and of course, blames the gay.

So clearly because Cat was the one who interviewed her and recommended her, it was Cat’s fault. Eh, hello?! Look towards Golden Boy Jay for the blame dude, not Cat!

He then goes on to ask if the woman he saw her with earlier that morning was “the new squeeze”. Then asks which Sapphic profession she belongs to: “primary teacher, social worker”, just as Cat bites back with: “She’s a Detective Sergeant.” What an absolute arse!!

Cat goes and speaks to Jay about what the boss has said to her. He acts a little nervous and shifty, but Cat doesn’t notice it. She says that the boss is blaming her for the intern taking drugs, and now he knows she’s gay it’s another stick he can beat her with. Poor Cat.

Great recap, ley!

I haven't seen this episode yet, but reading through this recap I am not sure I want to.

Why do people (tv writers/tv viewers) always equate more drama with better episodes? I think you can have too much of a good thing...
