Here is your weekly overview of what happened in the world of European lesBian entertainment. We keep you up-to-date on all the latest events, movie releases, TV storylines and who did what to whom.

TV Land

France

There will be a lesbian character on the new French TV series Maison close (Brothel). The series will start airing on October 4 on Canal Plus and is all about a luxurious nineteenth century brothel in Paris. You can watch the trailer here.

UK

In our weekly update of the yet to air (scheduled for October 12) new BBC Three lesBian series Lip Service, we want to point you to a piece by Great LezBritain on AfterEllen, who were on the set of the series.

TV presenter Sue Perkins will host the Stonewall Awards that are taking place on November 4. The awards will honor all those who have made a positive impact on the lives of gays and lesbians in Britain.

Norway

Cross-country skier Vibeke Skofterud is in Morocco right now to film for the upcoming new celebrity travel show we told you about a few weeks ago.

Recaps

If you want to keep up-to-date on the lesBian storylines on British soap Coronation Street and Spanish fifties drama AETR, be sure to read our recaps: Sophian and Ana and Theresa (Don't they have a shipper name yet? Any suggestions?) You can expect a brand new Sophian recap later today.

Movies

Iceland

The Icelandic documentary The Stand-up Girls will premiere at Reykjavik's international film festival that opened on Thursday. This documentary is of interest, because it features a few lesBian comedians.

UK

The classic lesbian vampire movie (if there really is such a thing) Daughters of Darkness from the 1970s will finally be released on DVD in the UK. You can order your copy from Amazon.
