This week our music video pick for you comes from Russia and takes us back a couple of years to 2002.

If you think Katy Perry was the first to have a go at pretending to like girls, you must've missed the Russian girls from t.A.T.u. who, in the early 2000s, made lesbianism cool. Granted, it was all fake and the girls were just pretending, but we didn't know that yet when they had their first hit in 2002 with All The Things She Said.

Even many years later and after knowing what a scam it was, you have to admit, it's still a really good song. It's very catchy and I am not ashamed to say this song is in my iTunes library.

Misunderstood lesBian school girls making out in the rain in school uniforms, what's not to like?!

Apparently, t.A.T.u. made their comeback earlier this year, but I didn't really notice. They might be the best selling Russian group of all time, I think it's safe to say their heydays are over.

What do you think of this song and of the band? Love them, hate them or are you totally indifferent?

Hate them, while being totally indifferent, of course. ;-p

I didn't mind the fauxmosexuality so much, but I found the staging of schoolgirl fantasies in hentai outfits bordering on pedophile even back than.

Even more than Kate Perry, this act was entirely designed by a straight man for straight men, so I never really warmed up to it. Or rather, I watched a few times, and then was thoroughly turned off.

But of course, I'm just a grumpy aging feminist with a grudge, so don't mind me.
