The days are getting longer, the sun is starting to shine regularly and the sounds of baby birds fill the air; it’s almost summer and that means it’s time for Pride events!

If you’re like me and you have never attended a Pride event in your life, the plethora of opportunities might be a bit overwhelming. Even if you do look in your own country only, the possibilities range from zero to many and they all have names that are rather non-descript.

ILGA Europe has created a list for you; just to make it a little easier to see which Pride event is held and where, but we’re going to give you an overview of the most important ones, sorted by date! Lucky you if you live nearby!

1 June - 20 June
Berlin Pride Festival
Berlin, Germany

This large, mostly male-oriented, Pride event is a must-be event. It’s the 32nd go for the Berlin Pride and they organise very interesting events to say the least. Also; if you intend to go, the theme for this year is ‘Angels’ so whatever you wear, make sure it’s angelic!

18 June – 27 June
Skeive Dager
Oslo, Norway

It’s Norway’s own major Pride event! We’re not sure if the events will have a lesBian theme as the calendar isn’t very filled yet, but the festival has been around for a long time, so it’s worth checking out no matter what.

19 June – 4 July
Women Pride
Cologne, Germany

Women Pride is a part of Cologne Pride, but seeing as every other Pride event caters mostly to gay males, we’re really only interested in the lesBian part. While the programme hasn’t been released yet, Women Pride organiser Tina Stotz told us that it’ll be awesome! That link also takes you to some prior events which were a great success! I can’t wait!
