Stereotypical Roles: Coronation Street recap - May 10th

Ladies, what can I say… it’s been too long! There may only be a few things here to recap, but as you saw from the teaser, things are going to get very interesting, very soon!

The only thing that’s happened so far that affects Sophian is that Sophie’s mum, Sally, has come back from her sister's. So it’s only a matter of time before their secret relationship is no longer a secret.

10^th May – Part 1

Sophie’s working in Sunita’s shop, and our good friend Random Rosie is being served:

Sophie: I thought you were sorting lunch?
Rosie: (holding up a tin) Eh, hello??
Sophie: A tin of soup for you, me mam, and me dad?!
Rosie: Urgh, it’s not for me, I hate soup! Alfie’s taking me out for tapas: Spanish for food.
Sophie: Rosie, you can’t just give them a tin of soup!
Rosie: I know! (Mumbles something that really should be in English about the freezer) Anyway, I’ll see you, or as they say in Spain: Sianara!

Oh Rosie, how we love your randomness… and attempts at being clever.

Sian appears on her mobile from the back of the shop. She's wearing a cute little baby dyke shirt! Awwww!

Sian: OK, thank you mum. (Giggle) Yeah, that’s brilliant. (Giggle) Yeah I will, I’ll ring him now. OK, bye! (Squealing giggle)
Sophie: What?

Sian gives Sophie a cute little flirty smile…

Sian: Er, bye-bye Southport! My mum says that I can stay at my Dad’s ‘til my exams.

This time its Sophie’s turn to squeal as she rushes over to Sian and hugs her… Awwww!

10^th May – Part 2

Sian and Sophie are still at Sophie’s work, and Sian’s helping Sophie revise for school. Sian’s asking Sophie questions, and on giving the correct answer, Sian beams at Sophie for getting it right.

It’s a really short scene, and is interrupted by the boss and his wife, Sunita, coming back in, which is where the scene ends, but the interaction between the two girls is really sweet.
