This time eurOut's Website of the Week is that of NELFA.
NELFA is the Network of European LGBT Families Associations that aims to protect and improve the rights of Rainbow families.
Little G alerted me to this great initiative, which is a collaborative of seven different European organisations that look out for LGBT families. Together they aim to raise awareness about Rainbow families, to provide support for LGBT families in countries where there's no official support yet in place, and to lobby EU Member States to obtain the same rights for kids from Rainbow families as other kids have.
On their website you can find an abundance of information about anything and everything to do with raising kids in LGBT families in Europe, at least from a legal point of view. They also link to all the organisations in different European countries where you can find more information in your own language.
I don't have any kids, but if I did I'd want to make sure they were well protected and taken care of – so I think something like NELFA is an important and helpful tool in getting informed and then making sure ones family is recognised and protected.
