Today eurOut presents you Yagg as Website of the Week, the French media site catering to lesbian, gay, bi or trans persons.

The site was created a bit more than a year ago, November 4th in 2008, by a group of four experienced journalists, three gay guys and one lesbian (Judith Silberfeld).

Yagg started with the goal to be a source of information for every LGBT-person in France which makes the site very diversified. Their articles span topics from coverage of press conferences by politicians, reviews of art exhibitions and theatre plays, a cruising guide for gay men, a “Revue de web” offering links to articles of LGBT interest from all over the world, to video footage of kiss-ins, pride marches and many more.

In addition to the site's own contents they also regularly feature guest-bloggers and launched a platform “la communauté Yagg” where members have amongst others the possibility to announce events, create groups, upload pictures and videos.

They recently opened new doors by producing a video campaign talking about health issues, more precisely about STDs and they were the first ones to directly address French lesbians in this (“I go to my gynecologist” with English subtitles).

And as a special treat for all of those who cannot get enough of watching Amélie Mauresmo, they were kind enough to upload the complete press conference where she announced that she was going to retire.
