Food geek

 

No this is not another kitchen appliance article. Today we seek inspiration.  Every day on my ole Twitter stream somebody is saying. “I don't know what to eat, any ideas?” You know who you are. Or better yet for those who find themselves a tad culinary challenged or with somebody who is, as such afflicted, there is help. Or rather there is inspiration.

So for you guys (and myself) here are some sites and an application I've come across that I've either found helpful or just plain odd enough to be interesting. The thing is, the internet is bursting with cooking and recipe inspiration and many of us will have our favorites. Once in a while you either come across something useful or just something odd.

 

 

The Useful

 

Did you know that Jamie Oliver now has an iPhone app? Launched this week and  I have to say it's one cool little app. Actually not so little at 404MB, but cool none the less. Each meal can be ready in 20 minutes. With 50 recipes , shopping lists and cooking techniques along with 21 videos and images of the recipes step by step, This app is great for those that are a little challenged in culinary skills, those that know their way around a kitchen or if you just need an idea of what to cook. Very handy piece of software and very well designed.

I have completely forgotten about cake wrecks. well that had my laughing... sooo many bad cakes out there!
