News from eurOut - a Shop, Flyers and a Party!

Did your friends ask you recently how you became so “gay” all of a sudden? Did your date wonder where you got all these awesome albums of international lesBian musicians from she never heard about before? Or maybe your parents looked a little confused when you started talking about politics at the dinner table after all?

Don’t worry, this happens to almost all eager eurOut-readers and believe me, the eurOut-staff is equally affected.

Out of the LGBT family, women get the least attention and worst portrayal, whether it is in entertainment or politics. Not only in the United States, but also in Europe. With the intention to change that, eurOut.com was launched in September 2008, and is now one of the most frequently visited sites on the web for gay women who seek European lesbian entertainment news, storylines and political information.

Cool, huh? :) Yeah, that’s what we thought and decided to celebrate eurOut’s upcoming first birthday with some features and a meet-up!

But one after another.

I told you recently that I love you eurOut-people for being so dedicated and supportive! So it also wasn’t surprising to us that you took the imperative “Link to us” as a serious task and spread our banners all over your blogs and websites. Thank you! We appreciate this more than you can imagine.

At Europride in Zurich eurOut-writer tedoe and eurOut-readers Molecat84 & GenderQ took it to the next level and handed out eurOut-flyers.  As they reported it was a lot of fun, in fact they made a little competition out of it. We thought that maybe more of you wanted to share flyers at events, in your favourite queer bar or simply carry some with you to have pretty note-sheets.

...must... add... to mug collection (never mind our apartment is already bursting at the seams).

Hm, although I could really use a new, cosmopolitan & queer mouse pad. ;-)

Oh, and in case I'm up North around mid-September, I'll definitely add my name to the meet up in Hamburg. Neat idea!
