Lisa Dillan has just completed a tour through Russia as part of her Quiet Quiet project. The project will continue in Norway in August and at the end of that month you can also watch her perform at Oslo-Queer festival. Swedish ladies who want to catch a glimpse of Dillan will have to wait until October when they can find her at the Impro festival in Gothenburg.

Hm, I actually love Kissin Jessica Stein (and loathe Loving Annabelle). But I don't think of it as a very queer movie. There's one(!) really good scene in the film and that's when Jessica "tells" her mom she's dating a woman. SobCry But then again my movie preferences are strange.

And if you have tv3 (Norway) you can watch Saving Face @ 3AM tonight.

How dare you diss Kissing Jessica Stein?! I adore that movie ^_^ Okay, so not everything's perfect, so what? That movie broke down plenty of walls and I say WATCH! Also, I <3 Loving Annabelle and Puccini for beginners was fun but had way less of an impact than KJS.

Great WAE again, though ^_^

KJS wasn't a bad movie, but I really did not like the whole "straight girl is curious what it would be like with a woman" storyline.

The trick may be not to watch it as a lesbian movie, but as a movie about a straight chick who experiments. As a lesbian movie, it sucks. As a contemporary sexuality/relationship movie, I found it pretty decent the second time around.

As for the "gay for a day" motto, I'm not sure what to make of that, either, but I HEART the poster and the lady peeling herself out of her blouse.

I also heart the Italian Maca/Esther (although Maca more...) - fine, perhaps they aren't as magical as the original, but the Italians were pretty darn cute this week (there's English, Spanish and Chinese coverage every week on a couple of blogs). Marina trying to make a good impression on Esther's father and Esther freaking out? Adorable! So far, I'm impressed with how the storyline is developing, especially given the over-the-top straight stories around them.
