The episode opens with Sarah in a daydream, imagining that Lydia is dancing with her. Hollyoaks does this a lot for those of you unfamiliar with the show. Generally there will be an opening sequence showing you which storylines will be covered in the episode. Often these openings are kind of abstract, such as dream sequences.

Back in the real world Sarah is beginning her dance class. Lydia brings her sister Persephone in late. Sarah says that she doesn’t think Persephone likes her, but Lydia insists Sarah is all her sister talks about. Sarah says that’s more than Lydia does, and asks if she’s got the wrong idea. Lydia says she’s been busy and that they should catch up later.

Later in the day Rhys spots Lydia singing along to her iPod and asks her to come and audition to be in his and his brother Josh’s band. What Lydia doesn’t know is they already have a singer, Hayley, who won the competition the boys set up. Rhys doesn’t want Hayley in the band because they have a history together, plus Hayley is in a wheelchair and he doesn’t think it would be a good image.

Lydia does the audition, singing Pink’s “So What” really badly; although we get the impression she might have been singing badly on purpose. In the end Hayley gets the job, Josh kicks his brother out of the band, and Lydia is roped in to play drums in his place.

...jury's still out on this one as far as I'm concerned but really... at least there's progress and kissing. That's more than I can say about Otalia! Great recap and looking forward to the next. Keep up the good work and hopefully the writers will continue giving us at least some semblance of a healthy lesbian relationship.

Oh, and did Sarah go from straight to gay all of a sudden or did the writers get it right and she went bi?
